Then one day -- which is to say over a period of time followed by a seminal moment of "AH HA!" -- I realized I'd become popular with all the wrong chat-ups: web site designers whose primary language was not English and English was also not their second language, solar panel salesman, Nigerian princes (yeah, I thought that had run it's course, too), and a host of other scammers.
